The thing that makes us free, is our right to choose.

Many orchardists believe that pruning is the most important aspect of raising fruit, with a typical pruning removing not only dead branches, but suckers and limbs growing at odd angles.  Overly dominate limbs may also be removed.  To onlookers it often seems that the pruner is just hacking away, possibly even harming the tree.
Healthy, fruit-bearing trees are pruned to make them produce even more fruit.  Older, low-bearing trees are pruned to stimulate new growth and revitalize their production.

UBC members may wince from the Union's mergers and closings,
but they know what the orchardist knows:
It is the cuttings and pruning,
That causes better fruit to grow.

You're pruned if you do. And pruned if you don't!.

Unions deliver higher wages for workers and
focus on raising worker skill levels and safety awareness.
The Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that in 2006 Union construction workers earned an average of $969 per week while their non-union counterparts earned only $610 — a difference of $359 per week!
In 2007, that gap grew even larger with the Union construction worker averaging $1,000 per week as the non-union worker struggled with $624.
Are you getting the training and pay that you deserve?
